| Homeless Hounds Rescue is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers that take in beagles and coonhounds from various situations. Most coming from animal shelters, families that can no longer care for their pet, and ones found lost and abandoned. |
| We are not a shelter. All of our dogs are placed in foster homes. Our foster homes provide the dogs with food, behavior modification and lots of love. |

| Mickey is an adorable 11 week old beagle mix. After days in the hospital, we have found out he has what is called a portosystemic liver shunt, which is an abnormal vessel that allows blood to bypass the liver. As a result the blood is not cleansed by the liver. Mickey will need to be on a low protein diet the rest of his life. He still needs more testing to determine the condition of his liver.
